Joseph mentioned that he and his brother Thomas were planning to go to sea on a trading expedition to the West Indies and since storms are treacherous he may not survive, and if his brother Thomas shall lose his life as well as I, then my brother Algernon will be executor. 8. Mary WILSON ~ Married Thomas DRAYTON, and had {1} William Henry DRAYTON, and {2} Sarah Daniell DRAYTON, who married Thomas Smith GRIMKE and had a son, John Drayton GRIMKE, who changed his name to DRAYTON in order to inherit the famous Magnolia Gardens near Charleston. Little is definitely known of ALGERNON WILSON's family and ancestry in England beyond the fact that he was in some way related at least once and possibly by two alliances to Thomas WILSON, Bishop of Sodor and Man, who used the arms of Wilson of Waldershaigh, Yorkshire. A portrait of [Sarah Proctor DANIELL] Mrs. Algernon WILSON was painted by Jeriah THEUS. One of her granddaughters married John BOYLE and it is in this branch of the family that the portrait has remained. DANIELL
