    3. All I can tell you is that Frances O'DANIEL born 1750, Fairfax County, VA married a MAYS probably ABT 1770 and they moved to SC where she died AFT 1799. I assume the MAYS were from the same general area as the O'DANIELS. Other siblings married into the HALBERT, TAlBERT, RADCLIFFE, BELL, NELSON and HURST families. The parents of Frances were John O'DANIEL and Elizabeth MOXLEY of Accotink Run, Fairfax County, Virginia. We do not know what happened to this MAYS fellow. I also know the TALBERTS were later a TN family. These Fairfax O'DANIELS migrated to both KY and SC, specifically Fairfax and Edgefield County, SC. Of all the DANIELS we ever discuss on this list, these were probably the most prominent in their entirety based upon the achievements of their descendants. BTW, this family also used both the DANIEL and DANIELL spelling for their names, as well as the original spelling of O'DANIEL. As for Grainger County, TN it is located adjacent to Knox, Jefferson, Hawkins, Union and Claiborne and I would think that any family in that area probably came from the Upper Neck or Augusta County, VA area and not Brunswick County, NC. The only Grainger County, TN connection I have in my 50K database that is linked to Grainger County, TN is a Lavinia Tipton RIGGS (1810-1870) who married Abner Bennett PONDER (1800-BEF 1860) of Oglethorpe County, GA and they were married in 1825 in Lawrence County, AL and migrated later to Pontotoc County, MS. If you will remember, from a previous post, the migration path of this PONDER family -- they migrated from MD through Augusta County, GA to York County, SC and then to Oglethorpe County, GA. This Abner is part of the same PONDER bunch. This is the only folks I carry from this area but I do carry the TIPTONS and there were all over the RENEAUS. These TIPTONS migrated along the same migration path and they lived in Herring Creek, Anne Arundel Co., MD. Their ancestor was an Edward TIPTON (1617-1688) and an Amy PHILLIPS of Northumberland Co., VA. The RENEAUS, who were from Fauquier County, VA centered up in Carter and Jefferson County, TN in a later time frame. John R.
