Ok, to answer you question about Basil Daniel, yes he is the same Basil Daniel you refer to. As far as we know, Basil Daniel was in the Pendilton District, 1800, along with a Jeremiah Daniel and others, I will have to go back to my records and look at them. Basil Daniel was living as an ex-resident on Buncombe county, NC 1805, then he migrated to Davidson county, TN. He was also part of Captain McCormick's Militia, he left TN. to migrate to Shelby county, Illinois and then he migrated to Carroll county, ARk. where he died about 1843 from what I can figure. Pertaining to Hannah Grainge and John Daniel, this is not my direct line, I believe Dottie's line, and she have done very extensive research on this whole Daniel bunch. And I do think she correct with all the Data she has and based upon the Greenlee connections, I don't think she wrong? But anything is possible> I will email her and ask her for her thoughts. I do think we come from the Prince George Daniel bunch, as Payne has them listed as the Immigrant Daniel line on his homepage. You could be correct as to his line possibly matching our DNA. I generally do not associate this family with any DANIEL family, except the ones that would be around the WOODSONS and surely not the DANIELL family of Charleston. I do not have the will of Stephen Bedon DANIELL of Brunswick County, NC. He is one of the few question marks I have about this bunch. Since Stephen was the son of John DANIELL and Sarah RAVEN of Brunswick County, NC one would expect him to have a son named, John, such were the naming patterns of the day. Do you have any wills, deeds, or other primary source records substantiating that this Hannah was the Hannah GRANGE who married John DANIEL in Brunswick County, NC or did some earlier researcher just match up the name, John and Hannah, and match it to the marriage of the first John and Hannah they could find that reasonably matched the time frame of their marriage? This, has happened all too many times. I will look to see if I can find the will of Stephen Bedon DANIEL and see what I can find. We know that Stephen Bedon DANIELL is named in his father's will by his full name, so we know who this fellow was. Was there also not a Basil DANIEL who came out of SC at some point?
