Evelyn, Glad to see you onboard again, also the name Herman Daniel repeats on our family of descendants. I wonder who they are naming them after. My John Simon Daniel born 1822, Grainger county, TN. married Mary Jeffreys, daughter of Marmaduke Norlfeet Jeffreys and Hanna Hill. John and Mary had a son named named John Daniel who had a descendant named James Herman Daniel, he's even submitted his DNA and it matched our line of Edward Daniel and it also matched Basil Daniels line. John Daniel was a brother to my Rachell Evaline Daniel that married William L. Carroll in Benton county, Ark. I think if we all keep working together we will all eventually solve this puzzle.
