John Daniel married to Hannah Grange in Brunswick Co., NC. John died before 1880. In 1880 census Hannah lived with Elizabeth born 1822. I have Joseph Daniel married to Levisa Greenlee 1838 Grainger Co., (daughter of John and Elizabeth Greenlee) died in 8/29/1897 in Larel Bridge, Ky. Joseph died in Pineville, Ky. I have this Joseph, son of John and Hannah. My Joseph (Betty's line) (Edward's son) married Rebecca Hodges. Also children of John and Hannah: Susannah born 1819 married Levi Biddle in 7/9/1853) Elizabeth born 1823 William born 1825 married Mary J. Cameron on 9/30/1852 Their children: Issac 1854 Sarah A. 1855 Elisa 1853 Hannahg 1859 John 1861 William 1865 this information collaborates the info in the Greenlee letter where it says Hannah and Elizabeth were living together on James Sunderland's place. That Hannah must have been the Mother Hannah. We originally thought it may have been a sister of Elizabeth.

Vickie, It is just hard for me to imagine one of these DANIELL boys from Brunswick County, NC moving to VA but I guess anything is possible. However, that is not a normal migration pattern. However, the BIDDLE name you listed did catch my attention. Mary "Polly" BIDDLE born ABT 1770 married Harrison WATTS and then, Col. Rene FITZPATRICK of Goochland County, VA. Rene also married a Mildred MAHONE and my note on Rene is that he died in Karnack, Texas. The FITZPATRICKS were of Goochland and some of them migrate to Greene and Morgan County, GA, Col. Rene FITZPATRICK b. ABT 1785 was a son of Joseph FITZPATRICK, Jr, who was a brother of Capt. Benjamin FITZPATRICK (1745-1821) who moved to Greene and his descendants, later to Morgan. I generally do not associate this family with any DANIEL family, except the ones that would be around the WOODSONS and surely not the DANIELL family of Charleston. I do not have the will of Stephen Bedon DANIELL of Brunswick County, NC. He is one of the few question marks I have about this bunch. Since Stephen was the son of John DANIELL and Sarah RAVEN of Brunswick County, NC one would expect him to have a son named, John, such were the naming patterns of the day. Do you have any wills, deeds, or other primary source records substantiating that this Hannah was the Hannah GRANGE who married John DANIEL in Brunswick County, NC or did some earlier researcher just match up the name, John and Hannah, and match it to the marriage of the first John and Hannah they could find that reasonably matched the time frame of their marriage? This, has happened all too many times. I will look to see if I can find the will of Stephen Bedon DANIEL and see what I can find. We know that Stephen Bedon DANIELL is named in his father's will by his full name, so we know who this fellow was. Was there also not a Basil DANIEL who came out of SC at some point?
