Elijah was of the James Daniel family who came to Trigg County from Tennessee at the turn of 1800. The other James Daniel came from Caroline County, VA and settled near Roaring Springs, Trigg Co about 1815 and was prominent in that area for the next 20 years. Pam Miller has a lot of information on the former. On my family history junket last fall I found a good deal of information on the latter James who was my Gx3 g'pa and I'm pretty certain the fifth generation descendant of James the First of Essex/Caroline Co, VA.
