Payne, Notice two things about these two deeds. The first 1810 deed relates to property owned by Matthew WHITFIELD and is now owned by Reese LUKE but also notice the WILDS mentioned in this deed. Then, take a look at the 1790 deed from William LUKE to John DANIEL, same family, same everything and also notice the WILDS listed on this deed. These deeds tell me two things. Matthew WHITFIELD, the father of Betsy WHITFIELD who married Aaron DANIEL was in Marlboro County, SC and so, too, probably was Aaron and Betsy. This also seems to indicate the John DANIEL of the 1790 deed was probably Aaron's son, John. However, notice one other thing on the 1810 deed -- the name John ROGERS and what family is the ROGERS family collateral with? This may be a clue as to who were really Aaron's parents but since his aunt was a ROGERS it may not....... Again, thanks for the records. "This may be a clue as to who were really Aaron's parents but since his aunt was a ROGERS it may not......." I am not sure that I have a problem with who Aaron's parents really were, but I will try to follow your line of thinking. Happy Easter, Ya'll Payne ----- Original Message ----- From: "John R.
