Vickie, I am going to tell you what this looks like to me -- the wanderings of the PONDERS, PATTERSONS, BENNETTS and BLACKS. Their researchers may not have it exactly right but they say they started out in the Baltimore, MD area and migrated through Augusta County, VA to York County, SC. Several of the PONDER boys migrated to Wilkes County, GA but one, Daniel, Jr. (the Tory) migrated to Buncombe County, NC. John R. Hum, I will keep that in mind, but one thing, I don't have Ponders, Patterson or the Black surnames in my line at all? The only Buncombe connection is Basil Daniel was an ex-resident in 1805. These surnames aren't connected to me at all? The Bennetts are, but they are from my Hill side, if I remember correctly, Green Hill Sr. married a Bennett? Vickie "John R.
