Payne, I do not think the CASON girl married Thomas DANIEL, son of RLD and whomever. That's Mike's supposition. We know there was a Robert DANIEL, Jr. in Pitt in 1779 and that tells me he has to be a son of a Robert. Did Robert Lanier DANIEL have a son named Robert? That, we do not know. None was mentioned in his will but Robert DANIEL of Martin was not mentioned in his father's will, either. I know that some will say the they just used the "Junior" to distinguish this younger Robert DANEL from an older Robert DANIEL but I tend to follow the principle of "Occam's Razor" when faced with such a situation, which means the simplest explanation is usually the best one. In other words, I take it at face value -- he was the son of a Robert. I do not know Paul's Francis Marion DANIEL and the only Francis Marion DANIEL I carry information on was born 1788, the son of William DANIEL (1745-1836) and Elizabeth SKINNER (ABT 1747-1837) of Washington County, GA. Francis was a brother of Abel DANIEL of Washington County, GA and the story on this DANIEL line was -- they came over from Ireland to New England, somewhere, and William married Elizabeth SKINNER in NY State, and after the RW, they relocated to Washington County, GA. I know this bunch could not in anyway be related to my bunch because this bunch lived, forever, and my bunch died like flies. John R.
