    3. I can tell you a little bit about this bunch, now. Thomas SMITH was born ABT 1606 in Essex County, England and married UNK and had two sons, Richard and Nicholas. Richard married a BLOW and Nicholas married Elizabeth FLOOD, d/o Capt. John FLOOD and Ann of James City County, VA. Elizabeth's sisters, Jane FLOOD, married Thomas LANE, Jr. and John FLOOD II married a Mary CREED. You will also see the name HARRISON all over the deeds in Tyrrell, Edgecombe and that area of NC in a later time frame, tied to most of this same bunch. I am also pretty sure I am either a direct descendant of Thomas LANE, Jr and Jane FLOOD or Thomas's brother, Joseph and his wife, Julian JARRELL. One or the other.... My guess is your Walter and John DANIEL are part of the Thomas DANIEL the first bunch from IOW. and John was a big name in this bunch in just about every branch of the family..... John R.
