Good Morning, The following was posted on the McDONALD list and it may interest some DANIEL researchers. <<< My Angus McDonald b bet 1750-1755in Scotland, died abt 1826 Probably Garrard Co, Ky. Married to NANCY unknown, had children Elizabeth McDonald, George McD, John McD, and Nancy , Peggy, Polly, Sally, and Allen McDonald, Sr b Dec 6. 1774. in Va.....and Angus Jr b abt 1819. (Have had my doubts on a baby born 1819.... B U T....) Allan McDonald Sr b Dec 6, 1774 in Va died abt 1850 in Marion Co,Ala, married Judith Smith who died before 1815. and shows children, Wm McD b Mar 18, 1791. Sally b Jan 1, 1794. Angus b Sept 17, 1801...John A b Nov 12, 1803, Unity S McDonald b Feb 6, 1806, and my GGGM Martha (Patsy) McDonald b June 1, 1808 in Ky, who married my GGGF Matthew Pickens Young in Garrard Co. Ky on July 26, 1832 (Were in Marion Co, Ala by 1834) when my GGM was born......Isaac Green Young, Anguish McCleod Young, Samuel , Margaret, James and Thomas , Sam'l, John L and Alfred were Patsy's siblings. My Patsy had a sister, Unity who mar Elijah Turner, and they, in turn had a son, Lorenzo Dow Turner b 1806 , who mar Judah McDonald b Jan 16, 1813 (His Mom's sister??) Lucinda Margaret Turner mar Patsy's son, Isaac Green Young in Marion Co, Ala. The Youngs and Turners all came out of Clan Lamont massacre in 1646 Scotland. They were in SC from 1760 on, marrying into Keowns and Whites, and split with the ARP Church over slavery issue just prior to 1800, and went to Green River, near Bowling Green, Ky with Davis and other names and marrying into McDonalds there.
