I just made another DANIEL connection. Moses DANIEL was one of the Cherokee leaders who led the people on the Trail of Tears in 1838. His group began its journey on September 30, 1838 and arrived in what is now eastern Oklahoma/ western Arkansas on March 2, 1839. He started out with 1035 people and the group had diminished to 924 by arrival, with six births and 48 deaths. Obviously, many turned back/escaped and returned to Georgia or wherever they wanted to go. My source for this is http://www.tngenweb.org/cherokee_by_blood/trail.htm Martha
