To my children, Elizabeth DANIEL, widow of John DANIEL; Daniel DANIEL; Cara (Carda) DANIEL, James DANIEL and Albert DANIEL; Dorman AIKEN; Mary ELIAS, Polly SUMMERLIN, widow of Thomas SUMMERLIN. Appoint my son-in-law Milton AKIN (sic), Executor. Probated 6 June 1853. Gilly DANIEL is Griselle CLEMENTS daughter of Peyton CLEMENTS of Granville Cty., NC and wife Elizabeth BURFORD. Peyton died about 1774 and Elizabeth married a James COMER and they migrated to Greene Cty., GA. James and Griselle were married in Greene Cty. in 1789. The BURFORDS, WESTS and some of the Greene Cty. DANIELS lived pretty closely together in Greene Cty. Supposedly Edmund DANIEL had a son Cordial also which has been a curiosity to me (were Edmund and James somehow related..?).
