John, I did some searching on this and it appears that many Coleman researchers do reflect Mary Elizabeth COLEMAN m. Jesse CLEMENTS but they identify Jesse as the son of William Right CLEMENTS not Peyton. The marriage between Jesse and Mary was listed as 25 FEB 1787 in AMHERST CO. VA and I suspect Jesse, son of Peyton was in GA. about this time. The only researcher I located that identified Jesse as son of Peyton coincidently is the one that identifies the father of James that married Grizzell CLEMENTS as James. Appears to me this marriage has nothing to do with James DANIEL, who m. Grizzell CLEMENTS, having a father James. Mike Daniel
