Well, I went back and looked... duh me... didn't think I did, but left something off. This paper was also signed 08 APL 1665 by William DANIEL. I see now that appears he was age 40 on this date, so not necessarily his birthdate. Then, son William, JR, on the same date was/would have been age 14, thus bc: 1651; and son Henry was/would have been 18 and thus bc: 1647. This paper signed 08 APL 1665, also shows, [Visitation of 1664] that William DANIEL of Wigan was the son of Peter DANIEL, a Captaine of foote in the Army of his late Majestie King Charles the first anno 1643 ~ his siblings were {2} Henry; {3} Richard; {4} Robert; {5} Thomas; {6} John; No {7} and {8} Thomas DANIELL, a Lieutenant in the late Kings Army, slayne at Bruinsford anno 1662 who married Alice SMITH and left son Peter DANIEL, living in 1666. These were children of Peter DANIELL, of Tabley Co. Cest. and his spouse Sarah WILCOCKS, daughter of Richard, Esq. `````````````````````````````````````````````````` `````````````````````````````````````````````````` Visitations of Lancashire,1623 ~ Crest: an UNICORN'S HEAD, etc. Thomas DANIEL of Om., Tabley in Com. Pal. Cestriae, 13 Edw IV (1747) married Blanch, daughter of Piers WARBURTON and they had Piers DANIEL who married Juliana NEWTON. And they had: {1} Thomas DANIEL who married Alice FFOULK, of Chester. and had Peter, b: 1561 of Tabley Co. Cest. Esq. who married Anne MAINWARING. {2} William DANIEL who married first a daughter of Christopher SECONDARY of the court; and married secondly his MAID, then one of these ladies had William DANIEL, JR. [and whom I'm guessing was probably born well before 1600.] ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` The Will you mentioned of William DANIEL who named his son James, is abstracted here in the book AND adjacent to the DANIEL Chapter which leads a novice, of these particular DANIELs, to believe or question.... I have no lineage interest in any of these DANIELs... merely trying to get them all straight in me ole cranium. Thanks for the clarification on William and James... and, like I said this book is difficult to follow, not counting the small print... think it was written by a Philadelphia Lawyer. `````````````````````````````````````````` Are you sure the Parish Register of Christ Church, Middlesex Co, Va. from 1653 to 1812 doesn't mention a son James? [see below] Those marriages on page 330 that I listed, are probably only the ones HAYDEN couldn't connect. Ah ha... pg 294 ~ The DANIEL "disjecta membra"... [told you he was a lawyer] ...given from the church records, at the end of this Daniel line, will show the difficulty of constructing a legitimate pedigree from any one of the early settlers of the name. ~ [And, that be those on pg 330] I did find another "stray" Middlesex Parish marriage: Margaret DANIEL and Henry WARE on 15 AUG 1711 `````````````````````````````````````````` I have Eustace unassigned. He is not Edmund!! Agreed!!! `````````````````````````````````````````` Here's exactly what HAYDEN wrote about James, as to dates ~ I know, Payne, you probably already have... pg 294/95 1. James DANIEL of Middlesex County, Virginia, bc: 1680 ~ d:....... ~ Married 27 JAN 1704, to Margaret VIVIAN, b:...... ~ d: 05 MAY 1727, daughter of John and Margaret VIVIAN of same county. [lists the VIVIAN children, etc. in footnote] NOTE: [pg 294] James DANIEL was ordered by the vestry of Middlesex Parish to procession the land 1724 and 1726. He was therefore a member of the vestry. In 1747, James DANIEL succeeded William DANIEL in the vestry. In 1751 he again processioned the land. [Is this the same William DANIEL who was a member of the vestry back in JUN 1684?
