    3. Mike, I do not know how I got him linked to Peyton's family but it must have been from somebody. I have Jesse born 14 April 1760 in Goochland County, VA and died 1 Nov 1819 in Putnam County, GA. His wife, Mary Elizabeth COLEMAN was born 22 Feb 1764, also in Goochland but I do carry that 25 Feb 1787 marriage in Amherst County, VA marriage date for them. I do not have a lot on Peyton and what I have is listed below. Maybe we can straighten out some of the DANIELS by straightening out these CLEMENTS and COLEMANS. The COLEMANS that are related to my bunch are the Eden COLEMAN and Nancy Ann DANIEL bunch of Greene County, GA. Eden was supposedly the son of Daniel COLEMAN, Sr. and a Unity CARROLL of VA and later, Warren County, NC. Into Eden's bunch are the DANIELS, RANDALS and PALMERS. There is a lot of confusion about these COLEMANS of Greene County, GA. Some say that Eden was a son of a Robert COLEMAN and Sarah Ann SAUNDERS. I have one will in which Eden is included (below) before those for Peyton CLEMENTS. Note also the RAMSEY name listed on one of these deeds. I am also a RAMSEY descendant and they were from the Upper Neck Area of VA and tie into my RENEAU family who migrated into TN. Notice also the CARLTON name tied to this bunch. One of my RENEAU GGU's married a CHASTAIN, d/o a CARLTON and the CARLTONS end up in both Morgan County, GA and Thomas County, GA -- all the same family. There is a big K. in the CARLTON family and I think it stands for KELSO. I think Thomas DANIEL of Greene is in some way related to the KDC bunch that migrated south to Greene County, GA because the CARLTONS were an integral part of this Kelso-Daniel-Cunningham migration, along with the COFFEES. My notes on Eden COLEMAN: <<< The abstracts of the 1790 tax returns for Wilkes Co., GA show Eden Coleman living in Captain Bennett's district and owning two slaves. This district is shown to slightly NW of the Kettle Creek area. Grant Book AAAA, pg 9 shows a grant for 930 acres in 1793 to Eden Coleman in Franklin Co., Georgia Greene Co., Deed Book F pg. 286-288 Samuel Ramsey and wife Peggy of Edgefield, South Carolina to Eden Coleman of Greene Co., Georgia for 134 pounds, 3 shillings 4 pence sterling 287 1/2 acres in Greene, formerly Washington Co., bound on the west by William Ramsey. 1806 - Greene Co., Georgia Tax Digest - 357 acres Carlton's District 1807 - Greene Co., Georgia Tax Digest - 35? acres Carlton's District 1808 - Greene Co., Georgia Tax Digest - 352 1/2 acres Carlton's District 1809 - Greene Co., Georgia Tax Digest - 362 1/2 acres Carlton's District 1810 - Greene Co., Georgia Tax Digest - 35? acres Dawson's District 1811 - Greene Co., Georgia Tax Digest - 357 acres Dawson's District 1812 - Greene Co., Georgia Tax Digest - 357 1/2 acres Dawson's District Greene Co., Will Book 1817-1842 Page 1 In the name of God Amen, I , Eden Coleman of the State of Georgia and County ?
