James, My bet, with that CALLOWAY name so visible in this family, is the McDONALD bunch you list came from southern PA and migrated through Augusta County, VA on the way to TN. Remember, one of the CALLOWAY boys was close personal friends with Col. Daniel BOONE and his wife, Becky BRYAN, a Quaker. I am pretty sure the LYNCH's were also in this little group because Col. Daniel LYNCH, or RW fame, was also from a Quaker family and I think his family went to the same church as the BRYANS. We know from history that BOONE had connections to NC, the Yadkin Valley area which I think is in the Guilford County, Anson, Rowan area. Anyway, these folks had ties to NC and bounced back and forth between there and VA and KY. I have looked closely at what I can find on this McDONALD, BOONE, CALLOWAY bunch because some McDONALDS became DANIELS and I already have the CALLOWAYS in my bunch, a slightly different line, though. I also know the DIBRELL family of Van Buren, Crawford County, AR were collateral with a McDONALD family and the DIBRELLS tie right into my DANIEL bunch in Morgan County, GA, through the PIERCES of Oxford, MS. The DIBRELLS were tied to the LEES in Buckingham County, VA and also to the SHREWSBURYS of Culpepper County, VA. I do not know which LEE family this was, though. However, if this was part of the Charles LEE family of Middlesex County, VA, then this would be a very interesting link. John R.
