Hi, Wasn't there a Paul DANIEL up in Cumberland County, KY. I do not remember if it was before 1790 or afterwards but KY was a stopping off point for those who later moved to IL, OH and IN..... I do know that a William Daniel in Bond Co., IL in 1820 married Sarah Matheny daughter of Sims, granddaughter of William in either Montgomery Co., NC or Montgomery Co., TN abt 1817. > Diane Clark > > > ==== DANIEL Mailing List ==== > Don't forget to change the Subject line of your message when you change the subject of a reply message. > >
Some of this family migrated to Tenn and then to Illinois. The William I referred to (b: circa 1783), I believe may have been born in the Bute/Granville area of NC, migrated to Montgomery Co., NC, then to possibly Rutherford Co. TN. Then left Montgomery Co., Tenn and on to Bond Co., Ill. I think that the 3 Daniel/Daniels in Montgomery Co. NC were related but can't find a linkage. Barton seemed to be the first to appear there in 1790. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John R.
