DANIEL was the son of John Williams Lewis DANIEL (ABt 1794-1870) and Sarah Ann GRAHAM, the marriage you listed. Do not forget, John's brother, was James Lewis DANIEL (1800-1879) who married Matilda Ann GANT and they all seem to have moved to the Eufaula, Barbour County, AL area. That M. DANIEL who married John and Sarah must have been his uncle, Martin DANIEL. This is the first time I have seen a mention of their living in SC. I got the idea they went straight from Granville County, NC to GA and then to AL. However, it seems not.... John R.
