Thomas, James, Wyatt and Spilsby( who appears later) are part of my family. Who they connect to is still a mystery. Marmaduke is from the Brunswick line via Chatham County, N.C. You can find records for Richard and Hugh Daniel (also part of the Brunswick to Chatham Cty. N.C group) when Russell Cty. is created from Washington. Richard was the executor of Hugh's will in Russell and he later moved to Sullivan Cty. Va. Richard can be found signing deeds with both Marmaduke and Marmaduke Jr.(could be the same man) in Sullivan Cty. Tn. Thank you for your reply, our line of Edward Daniel probably connects to the Brunswick county , VA. bunch as well. We have no diffinate proof that John Daniel Sr. was the son of Edward Daniel, but he supposedly died in 1794, Henry county, VA. If I remember correctly and don't hold me to this. John Daniel Sr. was married twice, once to Elizabeth Marmaduke and then to Sarah Witherspoon. Also, John Daniel Sr. had a daughter named Martha Daniel who married Edward Tatum, he to was located in Grainger county, Tn. At one point he was made administer over a James or John Daniel desceased claiming to be next of kin. But another Daniel family member protested this. The Tatum and Daniel connections shouldn't be over looked I don't think. Also Edward and widow Daniel are mentioned as well in Henry county, but it's not specific enough for concrete proof.
