    3. This may help to straighten out some of this mess. Cumberland County, VA Marriage Records: Feb. 26, 1753, Vallentine ALLEN & Ann ARNOLD. November 19, 1763, Philip ALLEN & Elizabeth, dau. of Daniel COLEMAN March 28, 1768, William DANIEL & Patty Field ALLEN, dau. of Samuel ALLEN (a) Samuel, Valentine and Phillip ALLEN were brothers. (b) Daniel COLEMAN and a Unity CARROLL are generally the ancestors some list as the ancestors of some of these Greene County, GA COLEMANS. (c) William DANIEL (1739-1797) was the son of William(s) DANIEL and Elizabeth WATKINS of Cumberland County, VA. My comments: 1. These NETHERLANDS (John) moved to Augusta, Richmond County, GA where they tie in with a TINLEY family and in turn my DANIEL bunch. The TINLEYS supposedly came over with Oglethorpe to GA in 1732. 2. Phillip and Valentine's sister, Susannah ALLEN, married a SUBLETT, which points right back into the Manikin Township bunch, which includes my RENEAUS and CHASTAINS, as well as others. 3. Francis MARSHALL is a name in the MARSHALL family of Jefferson County, GA and we know the HATCHERS are around that area, too. 4. Notice the two later marriages to Middlesex County, VA names -- Thomas MONTAGUE and Charles LEE - I wonder? 5. George Walton and Martha HUGHES -- . I think these WALTONS are about as messed up as our DANIELS. It would seem this George WALTON family Cumberland County, VA is related in some way to the Robert WALTON Family, since George (1724-1795) married a Martha HUGHES and Robert WALTON II (1718-ABT 1750) married a Mary Sarah HUGHES, especially since they both lived in Cumberland County, VA. I think it is the same bunch, as such, descendants of some of this bunch feed right into Morgan and Walton County, GA and are collateral with my family. 6. For the most part, these families are from what is generally considered to be part of the WOODSON-DANIEL line or Roger DANIELL line, however, they may point back into the Huguenot families of Manikin Township, VA 7. I have always felt there was possibly something more in Cumberland County, VA, more so than I have seen posted. Your thoughts.... 3. Debbie, Ok, here is what I have on the JARRETTS. Batt WYCHE (1767-1819), son of Lt. Col. George WYCHE II and Patience CLARK of Brunswick County, VA and later Richmond County, GA, married a Mary JARRETT. I do not know anything about her family other than her father was supposedly a Devereux JARRETT. They also lived in Montgomery County, GA but some say he moved to Decatur County, GA before he died. Information I have on his, is posted below. Batt WYCHE was the brother of Littleton WYCHE (1772-1834) who married Susannah MITCHELL, d/o Thomas Goodwin MITCHELL and Anne RAINES of Sussex County, VA, later, Thomas County, GA.. Littleton's daughter, Maria WYCHE married Hardy BRYAN (ABT 1799-1859) of Melrose Plantation, Thomasville, Thomas County, GA. Hardy was a rather wealthy fellow. This whole bunch is tied up with the BRYANS, BLACKSHEARS, RAIFORDS, MTCHELLS and others. One of these RAIFORDS boys who marry one of Littleton's girls points right back to Phillip RAIFORD and Elizabeth DANIEL (O'DANIEL) of Edgefield, SC. I generally consider any DAIEL family tied to any of these families to be probably part of the O'DANIELS of Fairfax County, VA, at least, post 1800....... As you can tell from the name, BRYAN, there is a direct connection back to Craven County, NC in a lot of these families. Since the JORDANS also fall into this little group, there is also a link back to Northampton County, NC and I would assume they all feed back to the IOW area of VA. Info on Batt WYCHE: <<< ---William and Mary College Quarterly, Vol.XIV, No. 1, July 1905, lists Batt's birthdate as 16 Aug 1771. ---He died at the home of his daughter,Nancy c. Wyche. His obituary was published in the Columbian Museum and Savannah Gazette on 19 Nov 1819. His son, George, and Elias McElveen were administrators of his estate. The estate records were closed out in 1832 ---1800 - 08: Record of deed transaction bet. Littleton Wyche and George Wyche in Montgomery Co., GA. Batt witnessed.(Deed Book G, page 141). ---1801 - Record of deed transaction between David Blackshear and Batt Wyche on 19 Sep in Montgomery Co. (Deed Book G, page 121) ---1804 - Batt received land grant of 100 acres from State. ---1808 - Deed transaction in Telfair Co., GA from John Harris to Batt Wyche on 28 Oct, Lot 149, 6th dist. of Wilkinson Co. Witnesses: James Powell and John Burnett. ---1815 - Deed transaction in Montgomery Co. between Benjamin Bryan and batt Wyche on 10 Dec. (Deed Book H, page 323) ---1817 - Batt Wyche gave daughter, Patience Green Clark, 4 slaves on 24 May in Mont. Co. (Book H, page 388) ---1817 - Batt gave daughter, Polly Meeks, 4 slaves on 24 May (Book H,page 389) ---1817 - Batt gave son, George Wyche, 2 slaves on 24 May (Book H, page 389) ---1818 - Batt gave daughter, Nancy Christian Wyche, 5 slaves on 22 April (Book H, page 52) ---1818 - Batt gave daughter, Suannah Jarret Wyche, 5 slaves on 22 April (page 53) ---1818 - Batt gave son, Robert D. Wyche, 5 slaves on April 22 (page 54) ---1818 - Batt gave son, John Scott Wyche 5 slaves on 22 April (page 55) ---1818 - batt gave daughter, Lucinda Jane Wyche, 5 slave on 22 April (page 56) ---1818 - batt gave son, George Wyche 2 slaves on 11 Aug (page 70) ---1818 batt served as justice of the Montgomery County Inferior Court from Oct 1818 - July 1819. >>> John R.
