    2. John R. Clarke
    3. Good Afternoon: Note: William O'DANIEL (B. ABT 1755) was the son of Frederick O'DANIEL and Charity WHITFIELD of Duplin. You will see GRADY as both GRADY and GRADDY in many deeds but they are the same folks. You will also note that one deeds refers to the plantation of William DANIEL, so like the other O'DANIEL of Fairfax County, VA, they had already begun to drop the "Olde English O'" prefix from their names. Note on BARFIELDS: Anne BARFIELD born 1727, married William GRADY and their daughter, Elizabeth married Alexander O'DANIEL, son of Frederick O'DANIEL and Charity WHITFIELD. William O'DANIEL was Alexander's brother and he married an Elizabeth HERRING. A sister, Charity O'DANIEL married KORNEGAY. Owen, the oldest of these siblings married Charity HERRING and their sister, Elizabeth O'DANIEL married a WHITFIELD, so you can see they are all just as tight as can be..... .
