    3. Hi- I would look real closely at the Woodson-DANIELS because the NAPIERS are either tied are close to the WOODSONS, WATKINS, FITZPATRICKS, PERRINES, etc out of Goochland, Fluvanna, New Kent and Cumberland County, VA area. This is part of the Roger DANIELL line. John R. Clarke Thomasville, GA ----- Original Message ----- From: "M.M. My Daniel line starts in VA with John Daniel b: ca 1769, VA. He died in Ky ca 1840. John married Catherine NAPIER, who was born in 1772 in Franklin Co.,VA Can anyone link this John Daniel to the Middlesex bunch? Or can anyone tell me which family line this John Daniel is from ?. In 1810 John and Catherine are in Lee County,VA and some of their sons are on the tax rolls in Knox Co., Kentucky. I have this line down from John and Catherine but I have no idea who John's parents or siblings were or which county he was born in. Most researchers for this family line use the Daniel name with the 'S' although I have never seen it in any census or land records with the 'S'. Then from my Guthrie line, I find a few Daniel and Guthrie links that go along with what Mike Daniel wrote: ......I can confuse this further. When Thomas Daniel of Green County, GA gave power of attorney for his land to Ruben Guthrie in Madison County, KY ca 1795...... Notes from Middlesex records which I received from Larry J. Guthrie: Sept. 1719--John and Jane Guthery sold two acres of land to Robert Daniel. >From the Middlesex Co., Deed Book 1687-1750, Gen. Index #1, loose deeds the following: John and Jane Guthery to Robert Daniel: Two acres for fifty shillings "lying on the north side of Briary Swamp bounded with the land of Katherine Young, (Note the above John and Jane Guthrey is John Guthrie and Jane Mitcham of Middlesex Co., VA. John is the son of John Guthrie and Elizabeth Baskett. John was baptized July 28, 1689. John and Jane were married 5, August 4, 1710. Jane died April 22, 1722. John died in 1733.
