Kevin, Allow me to add to the Reuben Guthrie/Thomas DANIELL connection with the following Greene Co. Ga. deed abstract: Page 213: 27 Aug 1796. "I Thomas DANIELL of Greene Co. for the love and good will I bear toward my trusty friend Reuben GUTTERY...all that tract of land in the Commonwealth of Kentucky tho when surveyed in the Commonwealth of Virginia, on Kentucky River in Fayette Co. about two miles below the mouth of Jack's Creek cont. 200 acres, by survey dated 23 Sept 1785, granted to said Thomas DANIELL 21 April 1792 and signed by Henry LEE Esq. then Governor of Va. I give the aforesaid land ...but not to warrant & defend same from any other person or persons whatsoever." Signed Thos. DANIELL. Wit: Peter MARTIN, Jonas FAUCHE. Proved by the witnesses 29 Aug 1796 before Wm. Fitzpatrick J.P. Reg. 29 Aug 1796. This witnesses are MARTIN (first husband of Elizabeth DANIELL, dau of Thomas) and FAUCHE (Husband of Mary, called Polly in 20 Oct 1793 Greene Co. marriage record, I believe also a dau of Thomas). There is also a Greene Co. will of Sally Fitzsimmons (recorded 17 Sept 1804) that names sister Nancy COLEMAN (Thomas daughter, wife of Eden COLEMAN), sister Betsy COOPER (Elizabeth, dau. of Thomas whose second husband was James COOPER), brother William DANIEL and appointed brothers-in law James COOPER and Jonas FAUCHE as administrators. Also mentions her father and mother (not by name) and implication is they are both alive. Saslly is yet another child I didn't have for this family. Fauche was a soldier of some renown in Ga history, Adjutant General of Ga. form 1795 to 1806, and a delegate on the committee creating the Ga. constitution in Louisviile on 30 May 1798 and one of the first commissioners of Greensboro, Ga.
