    3. Good Evening, Well, I must have walked right over this one, didn't I, but I caught it, finally. <grin> GUTTERY or GUTHERIE sure seems to points in one direction -- Middlesex County, VA. However, the NAPIERS are normally connected to the WOODSONS and I generally tend to believe that any DANIEL connected to the WOODSONS is usually out of the Roger DANIELL line. However, some of the given names (George, Catherine, Richard and Robert) listed by Michelle in her 1/18/2004 DANIEL post sure seem to point right back in the Middlesex bunch, don't they? One of the name patterns that intrigued me was the William DANIEL and Lucy listed in the GUTHERIE will provided by Michelle. Who was this William DANIEL? I do not know on this one but when you take away that Sarah BURNEY marriage from Thomas DANIEL of Greene County, GA and substitute Sarah RANDALL for it -- you point Thomas DANIEL right back to VA and not NC. I personally would not overlook the possibility there may well have been two Thomas DANIELS in Greene County, GA. One of these was a Virginia DANIEL married to a Sarah RANDALL and the other, a NC DANIEL married to a Sarah BURNEY. I have always felt when faced with a complicated situation, the best solution is usually the simplest one and the simplest explanation seems to be -- there were two Thomas DANIELS who lived in Greene County, GA in the same time frame -- one from VA and one from NC.
