    3. I can confuse this further. When Thomas Daniel of Green County, GA gave power of attorney for his land to Ruben Guthrie in Madison County, KY ca 1795, my ancestor, Thomas Daniel was living in that county and left immediately for Clark County. When Thomas Daniel of Greene County, GA gave power of attorney for his land in Montgomery County, KY to Enoch Smith in 1809, my Thomas Daniel had departed Montgomery County for Illinois a couple of years earlier. Enoch Smith was tied into the Loudoun County, VA bunch which my Thomas' son, Estridge, married into when he married Mary Fox in 1805. Land that Estridge owned was bounded by land of a Thomas Daniel, but I have never been able to find out which Thomas as there is no deed for this land under the name of Thomas Daniel in any of these Kentucky counties. In Illinois, a county history says my family came to Illinois from Georgia, but I have never been able to find anything to support this. It looks, however, as if my family came from the Essex bunch, as they used the name Walker and there is a DNA match to William Daniel who married Verlinda Simmons. Fun. Kevin John R.
