    3. G'morning, Ruth. Mumford PERRYMAN was a witness to the will of William DANIEL. Do not know his connection to the DANIEL family of Edgefield. 3. Ruth and Robert, Did Mumford PERRYMAN have a child named, John, born 1799 or a daughter named, Ann or Nancy, born 1807/1809? I still cannot find a home for John and Ann PERRY. In fact, nobody in Burke or Jefferson County wants to claim them, even though Ann DANIEL was worth close to 20K in 1860 so she had to be from a rather prominent family, unless the sole source of her wealth was from the estate of her late husband, James L. DANIEL (1814-1857) of Bethany, Jefferson County, GA. That, I do not know. What I do know is -- Ann DANIEL (1809-1861) identifies a John PERRY as her brother in her 1861 will and a John PERRY (age 61, born NC) was living with Ann DANIEL (age 51, born Burke County, GA) in 1860 in Louisville, Jefferson County, GA. I also know that Ann and James are buried, side by side, in Bethany (East) Cemetery, Wadley, Jefferson County, GA in the Timothy DONOVAN family lot. Tim DONOVAN, son of a prominent Irish family that migrated to GA in the 1850's, had married James's daughter, Nancy Collins DANIEL. Nancy was the daughter of Mary MURPHEY (1815-BEF 1840) , James's first wife, whom he married in Augusta, Richmond County, GA in 1834. I do not know what happened to her brother, John PERRY. I think a lot of this bunch were buried in family cemeteries on land that became Ft. Stewart, GA and many of these family cemeteries were destroyed before that practice was stopped in the 1980's. At one time there were something like 40 something family cemeteries on the property that became Ft. Stewart but only 20 or so survive and some of these have been badly damaged. John R.
