    3. Hi, Sharron. Good to hear from you again and glad Robin contacted the list. Thanks for the info on Manoah Robertson. A little side note here. Robin sent me a photo of her great-grandparents and one of the males in the photo shows a definite kinship with my line--dark hair, long face, high forehead, and big ears. Even without DNA evidence, I can see we are related. Robin says that her great grandmother, Nancy Elizabeth Daniel Sims always said that this Albert Sims looked like her father John Lewis Daniel. Daniel as the youngest son of John B. and Mary Pugh Daniel of Virginia, who came to Alabama from Laurens Co. SC. Robin, after we corresponded some time ago, the descendants of John B. have concluded that he is the son of John Daniel, Sr. of Virginia and descended from James Daniel the First of Essex Co. VA as shown on Payne's website. Martha has probably sent you this info by now. My great grandfather, James Daniel, 1805, SC, I believe was an older brother of Joseph H. Daniel, along with another brother Robert. James and Robert Daniel and families were in Franklin Co. AL in 1850. The Daniel links to Manoah Robertson were shown in Christine South Gee's book, with references also to the Hilliards and Rylands. The Robertson lineage is shown nicely on the hueytown.org site under Reuben Robertson. The family who wrote to Mrs. Gee for her book included Manoah G. Robertson, b. abt. 1880, shown in the 1930 Hueytown Census, Jeff. Co. AL, Prec. 40, Dist 189, p. 20B. In the 1920 Census Martha E. Daniel, mother, 77, is listed with Manoah G. and his wife Mabel, also a sister of M.G. named Esther, Jeff Co., Prec. 40, p. 4A. Hamilton Manoah Robertson, b. abt. 1896, moved to Rapides Parish, LA. Do you have the Hilliard family information? I have the census listings. Maxie Hilliard is the one who wrote Mrs. Gee, I believe. Thanks for contacting the list.
