The 1748 record is probably the John Daniel Sr., (1707-bef. Feb.1764) who married Sarah Raven. He died in New Hanover Co., NC. John Jr, was to young for this transaction. I have seen the name, Christopher, but not associated with NC and this was on the Wayne County, NC website, associated with the WHITFIELDS and that clan....
