All, who was the father and mother of this Peter Daniel?Me thinks Heinemann has it all wrong? Payne PETER DANIEL, born B 1730; died 1800. He came early to Bedford Co., Va., where he obtained 604 acres as recorded in Land Book 37, Page 148. He purchased 182 acres there--August 27, 1770. He married MARY (???). He deeded land in what was then Campbell Co., Va., 1782 to 1800. He left a will made February 6, 1799; proved in Campbell Co., Va., February 9, 1801. It is not now known where he originated, but the pension application of his son (3) RICHARD, gives his birth place as Chesterfield County, Va. His widow survived him and was still living after 1812, as shown by a deed made by her son, PETER DANIEL, which reserved 1 acre where his mother then lived. (Campbell Co., Va., D. B. 10, Page 43). He may have been the Peter Daniel listed as number 7 in Daniel Family No. 85, compilation by Charles B. Heinemann in 1949. They had: 1. RICHARD DANIEL, born (???), 1752; died A 1848. 2. PETER DANIEL, born (???)B 1760; died (???). 3. WILLIAM DANIEL, born (???)B 1760; died (???). He left a will in Campbell County, Virginia dated 6 February 1779. The will was filed 13 Apr. 1801.
