    3. Martha, Speaking of ROBERTSON. There are ROBERTSONS around the MALCOLMS of Lincoln County, GA - James ROBERTSON, Jr. b. 1797 in NC and Nancy MALCOLM born 1799, d/o James MALCOLM, Sr. RS-VA and Nancy Sally GANNAWAY of later, Morgan County, Georgia. These MALCOLMS were originally from Buckingham County, VA. A lot of Morgan County, GA folks in this bunch..... However, the ROBERTSONS that caught my eye were the ones around the MERCERS. Rev. Silas MERCERS (1745-1796) daughter, Ann MERCER (1771-1852) married a William ROBERTSON (1771-1833) and they moved to Lincoln County, TN. Notice the name, Lincoln, again. Silas was the father of Rev. Jesse MERCER (1769-1841) of Penfield, Greene County, GA, so Anne was his younger sister. Anna and William's son, Gilbert Mercer ROBERTSON (1794-1872) married Matilda ANDREWS of Oglethorpe County, GA and my information says her parents, Alexander ANDREWS and Anne REDMOND, were originally from Essex County, VA. As you may know, the MERCERS were from Halifax District, Martin County, NC and before that, probably VA, at least Silas's wife, Dorcas GREEN, was from VA -- Stafford County, VA. Some of this MERCER bunch ended up in Henry County, AL which is the home of some of the CULVERS. The GA home of the CULVERS was Sparta, Hancock County, Ga and the son of Col. Isaac Franklin CULVER, CSA of Henry County, AL, Dr. Frank Pugh CULVER, DD married my 1C1R, Mary Lee WHITE (1874-1933) of Meridian, MS. Col. CULVER commanded the 6th AL during the CW and one of my great-grand uncles, Louis L. RENEAU (1834-1863), was killed in the 6th AL at Chancelorsville. We think Louis had married a PARKER girl, whose father, a Rev. James PARKER was a Methodist minister in the GA Conference. John R.
