He died between 1845-the census of 1850. His wife, Eliza was a widow in 1850 in Gordon county, Ga and his youngest child was 5. She later moved to Cherokee county, AL . She was there with her daughter, Mary who m. Elijah Perkins, daughter Amanda, and son William Thomas Daniel m. to Elizabeth Stovall. We just can't figure out who Eliza's husband was. The hope that we have is that they were educated, so we are hoping that we might come across someone who has a written record. They were all writing to each other during the Civil War, so they had enough money for pencils, ink , and paper and also had the ability to write. Any thoughts on this bunch??? They had to belong to someone. So far we haven't been able to tie them in with the other Daniel families in Cherokee county, Ala. or in Gordon, Bartow, or Cherokee counties in Ga. I bet they are related somehow, but who knows how??? ==== DANIEL Mailing List ==== IF YOU MISS ANY MESSAGE: You can easily search the DANIEL List Archives at: http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl?list=DANIEL
