While perusing the "Minutes of the Vestry of Antrim Parish (Halifax Co. VA), 1752 - 18-something, for the Vestryman tenure of John Faulkner, my fourth great in my direct Faulkner line, and Thomas Dillard, a collateral to my "Orphan" 1786 Thomas Daniel by dent of a granddaughter's marriage to one of Thomas' sons' -- I came across mention of the following DANIEL folk: (1) Boyd Richard Daniel, mentioned first in 1763, then several more times later on (processioning land, I think). (2) Royall Daniel, mentioned first in 1816, but could have been around for a while (3) Wiley Daniel, mentioned in 1816 with or near Royall. (4) William Daniel, mentioned in 1767, having to do with processioning land, or such. I did not list all the times their names appeared on the Tax due to/paid to the Parish. (Note to DIANE: A George Carrington's name appeared re a number of activities over the years - was elected as a Vestryman ca. 1787). Still looking for a Mama and Papa for my old Thomas Daniel, b. 1786, GA., probably around Oglethorpe or near by, who died and made him an "Orphan" by the 1807 Land Lottery and the 1807 Oglethorpe Tax List. Hope springs Eternal, but I may not!! Happy Holidays everyone! Anne
