    1. [DANIEL] Alexander & Amos Daniel in Washington Co., GA
    2. I thought I was really onto something in Washington Co., GA - in finding Alexander Daniel, the brother of my James Daniel in the 1830 census and surmising from the other census records that correlated with their ages correctly that they were the sons of Amos Daniel, who was the son of Nathan who was the son of Joseph Daniel & Sarah Barnes. I'm writing to report that that is NOT the case. I found Amos Daniel, age 83, b. in NC in the 1850 Sumter Co., GA census living with his son Alexander, 50yrs old and his family. Alexander was listed on the index of the 1840 Sumter Census too, and believe that Amos must be on the census too for that year. I'm posting my other findings here in hopes that it will help other researchers of the line. I have little doubt that my James and Alexander are also part of the Joseph Daniel & Sarah Barnes line - just not sons of Amos. >From 1850 Sumter Co., GA Census - they were not listed in the 1860 Sumter census Alexander Daniel, 50 yrs, b.
