There may be some evidence that Joseph was born in NJ son of William b 26 Mar 1721, son of James b 1670 Ireland. My search of the BREWER, MELTON and THOMPSON collateral families indicate movement from Moore Cnty NC., however I cannot locate any DANIEL connections there unless they were in a Quaker settlement not researched.
