My line is fairly certain back to John DANIEL and Sarah Wright DANIEL, born in Virginia, died in Laurens Co., SC. He died in 1819, per his will. Most early information is taken from the book by Christine South Gee. My direct line continues from these through John B. DANIEL and his wife Mary PUGH of Laurens, both of whom died and are buried in Jefferson Co., Alabama. Their son John DANIEL, b. 1800 in Laurens married Elizabeth JACKS in Jefferson Co., AL. Moved their family to Fayette Co., Tennessee, then to Yalobusha Co., Mississippi, and finally to Upshur Co. Texas by 1857. Related families are JACKS, FLANAGAN, STARNES, ROBBINS.
