    1. [DANIEL] Roll Call
    2. Payne Daniel
    3. May I suggest a "Roll Call", of individuals that still populate the Daniel-List, and their family interest. Over the years, I have communicated with many fine folks who seem to have dropped by the way side, i. e., a cousin of mine who was instrumental in checking my work in the past, and one or two folks have passed away, that I am aware of. Just your email address and family of interest; all voluntary of course. Back in the dark ages when I used FTM software there were a number of duplications and other bothersome glitches that were carried forward to my new software. I am trying to resolve those problems now, so anyone who finds errors or misspelled words, or differently spelled family last names, please let me know. http://paynedaniel.com If there is anyone with a direct DNA link to any Daniel family that would help us establish some connections, please share that bit of data in a simple way. That is, name to name with dates. Great strings of numbers do not always compute in my "little gray cells". I realize that some of you maintain a private approach to your work, and I appreciate that stand, but nothing ventured is nothing gained. I was able to establish a Daniel family connection with the Marshalls with just a simple question to the Halifax-List. (N.C.) Your interest and continued participation in the Daniel-List has to make John feel that this is a worthwhile endeavor. My request; anyone with a command of the prime "Immigrant" Daniels of 1745 - 1795, who might they be? Cheers ya'll, Payne

    3. My cousin A. David Daniel did the DNA testing for our branch. We have a 25/25 and 36/37 marker match with descendants of James of Albemarle Co., VA. I'm still stuck trying to prove my Josiah was the son of James Key and Sarah Brown Daniel (Person and Caswell Counties, NC). They have a yet-to-be-identified son the right age in the 1810 and 1820 census records.

    3. Still here, although have not been very active lately. I am researching (and descended from) Benjamin Daniel and his wife, Margaret Brown, who were married in Caroline County, Virginia in 1790. Benjamin was a son of William Daniel and Mary Snead. Benjamin and Margaret moved almost immediately to Mercer County, Kentucky, and lived there for the rest of their lives. A son, and my ancestor, was Coleman Daniel, who married Elizabeth Kaye. There is a record in the Mercer County Courthouse of William Daniel deeding a slave to "my son Benjamin Daniel" in 1803. There is also record of a William Daniel belonging to the Baptist Church in Mercer County (Shawnne Baptist) as Benjamin. Whether this was Benjamin's father or a brother...or perhaps no relation...is not known Bill Brewer [email protected]
