My guess is the Albemarle will you read was dated about 1761. This was not James Daniel that married Elizabeth Woodson (the marriage is also very difficult to prove). For my own position I know that James Daniel and William Woodson, brother of Elizabeth jointly patented some property in Goochland County. I know that an Elizabeth Daniel was a witness of the will of Benjamin Woodson, Jr, her supposed brother. Woodson Daniel's second son was named Benjamin Woodson (and his name my have been BW also but I've never been able to prove that). This James Daniel outlived James of Albemarle and was found in Halifax Co., VA as late as 1768. I don't know where or when he died.
