Gerard Fowkes. 1-12/14 -Andrew Chambers 5 Oct 1695 Westmoreland 134a by the side of a branch running down to Meshodick Dam and so to Jordan's Bridge and adjoining William Bennett. 2-201/202 Westmoreland Co VA OB 1690-1698 [Parts 1-3]. John Frederick Dorman 1962-64 Pt1-3=p2 ct 28 Jan 1690/91 Order is granted Ambrose Daniel against Mr. Francis Wright, Sheriff, for that he had not Thomas Paicie at this Court to answer Daniel. Pt1-18=p11a ct 25 Feb 1690/91 Thomas Paicie was arrested to answer Ambrose Daniel in a plea and declared against him for detaining several carpenter's and joyner's workeing tooles from him. Defendant by Arthur Spicer his attorney pleaded not guilty. Ordered that Daniel doe make Mr. Paicie such a cupboard as by their agreement hee ought to doe and that Mr. Paicie when requested by Daniel show Daniel all his carpenter's and joyner's tools and what of the tools Daniel shall upon his oath declare to be his proper tools, Paicie is hereby ordered to deliver to Daniel immediately. [I can't find a Paice grant but, incidentally, the attorney Arthur Spicer was the transferee of Wm Clapham's orig Essex certif that imported a James Daniel. However, Arthur Spicer was busy in everybody's business in these recds and had tons of land all up and down the Rappa.] There's no more on Ambrose Daniell in the Westmoreland OBs abstracted by Dorman through 1721, nor does he appear in Dorman's land or will abstracts of the times.
