Charles Daniel, father of Smith Coffee, was son of Rev. Thomas Daniel and Sarah Burney of Greene County,GA. Thomas is believed to have had three brothers, Charles, who like Thomas was a minister. (Charles never left the Carolinas), Eustace and Edmund, both were in the Greene County area after having migrated from Edgecombe Couny, NC. The parents of Thomas, Charles, Eustace and Edmund is believed by many to be William Daniel and Elizabeth Coleman.
