Hello!  Am trying to link my family in with the greater Daniel family, but am very confused concerning the variety of Daniel's out there.  Here's what I have (all born in Georgia unless otherwise noted): William Daniel b. 29 Jan 1803, GA, m. Elizabeth Ann Waters 22 Dec 1831 in Decatur Co., GA. 1. Julia Ann Elizabeth Teresa Daniel b. 25 Mar 1833 2. Albert Waters Daniel b. 29 Mar 1836 3. Emery Laseter Daniel b. 19 Oct 1838 4. Solomon Allen Daniel b. 1840 5. William Rufus Daniel b. 9 Nov 1842 6. Amanda Eliza Daniel b. 27 Jun 1845 (my gg-grandmother) m. Alexander Ewing Harris Jr. b. 1844 Tallahassee, FL (served with Campbell's Siege Artillery and 29th Battalion, Georgia Volunteer Cavalry, CSA) 7. Virginia Lucina Cornelia Daniel b. 10 Feb 1848 m. Augustus John Bell Jr. b. 1846, s/o Augustus John Bell Sr. and Abegail McDuffie Cawthon 8. Eugene Alfred Daniel b. 15 Apr 1851 9. Erasmus Daniel b. 28 Feb 1855 10. Humm, I'm struck with the names of William, Solomon, and Rufus. In particular Solomon is a big name in our Hiram Daniel family from North Carolina/Tennessee. (If you remember, Hiram helped Solomon build the Temple). At any rate, I would be eager to see if you could find a Daniel descendant from this family who would be willing to take the DNA test. I will arrange and pay. Our North Carolina/Tennessee family has recently (This year, 2009) discovered we have Georgia relatives but as yet are unable to connect them to our family tree.
