(1809-1865)of Jefferson County, GA and he had a son (2), William Russell Daniel ( 1854-1904. RW Daniel was the son of Robert Chesley Daniel ( ABT 1770-AFT 11830) and Penelope Lane of Burke County, GA, formerly of Green County, NC. DNA also says "Middlesex Daniel," which fits right in with Albemsrle County, VA. I think that RC Daniel was a grandson of Capt. James Daniel and Jane Hicks of Aalbemarle, probably by his son, Chessley Daniel, but I cannot tie him to Chesley, cousin. Drop me a note at jrclarke@sc.rr.com or via of the DANIEL List.
