I will see if this copy and paste will come through without all of the garble on my previous posting. Here goes. LOL ! I made a typo earlier. Vivion Daniel was married to Elizabeth Vivion not Margaret Vivion. Vivion Daniel who married Elizabeth Vivion are my 4th great grandparents. They lived in Orange County, Va annd moved ca 1791 to Fayette Co., Ky and Vivion died 1803 in Clark Co., Ky. and left his will which I have a copy of. I am trying to get his Rev War service straightened out. He served on the Orange County Safety Commitee with James Madison 1774-1775. According to Va. Military Records from the Magazine of History and Biography ; Wm & Mary and Tylers Quarterly, Vivion Daniel was a Captain in the Orange Co., Va Militia, resigning 23 May 1776. Also, it is stated he is reported as having pay for Service in Col. Taylor's Regiment, Aug 1779 (See McAlister's Virginia Militia.) According to Gwathney, Vivion Daniel was in the Orange County, Va Militia and resigned 7 Feb 1777. Served as a Sergeant in Col. Taylor's Regiment. I don't know if there was a pension or not. Any help in straightening this war record out would greatly be appreciated. Marianne Dillow Illinois
