I am trying to locate any one related to the family of John H. Daniel born late 1700's to early 1800's in South Carolina. John was a wagon driver for the government. They moved Cherokee's to government settlements. He eloped with and indian girl and are reported to have gotten married in northern Ga. Her name is unknown at this time. Their children were Ambrose, Ed, Henry and James. James was known as Devil Jim. James was my great great grandmother dad. James married Mary Rice and their children were James R., John T., Charles, Absalom, and Mary Louanna. Mary Louanna married James Morton Crow and they settled in Maypearl, Texas.
