A descendant of your Richard would add another branch to a large group that has shown great results via DNA. Diane is a major searcher in this Daniel line, you can get more info from her about it. Her page about the DNA results for your line is at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~strat3926/dnl-mad/dnl-dna.html The Daniel project is at: www.danieldna.50g.com The results page is out of date, but you'll see current info about many participants on the participants page. Right now is a great time to test; until 7 July there is a stunning reduced price, $119 for both the 37 marker test and the mitochondrial test. You or your relative can order the test at: http://www.familytreedna.com/group-join.aspx?Group=Daniel Regards, Pam in CA (I'm from a different Daniel line) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Yes, of the markers tested in common by AncestryDNA and FamilyTreeDNA you are a 33/33 match. The Daniel DNA Project results at www.danieldna.50g.com have not been updated in quite a while, but you can see all the Middlesex Daniel results that you match at: http://www.pamiller.net/genealogy/docs/danielmiddlesex/danieldna/index.htm May I include your line and results on the page? The where and the wording for how George B. fits in would be up to you and the other descendants and researchers of James Key Daniel (I think it should be much like the Josiah b. 1805, i.e. "probable son"). My research had led me to the idea and I'm much persuaded by their further info that George B. is one of the other sons of James Key Daniel. I even think it's worth an article on the site laying out the evidence if somebody would write it up: Jim's original post here and Rosalyn's Nov 2008 reply are already a great foundation. Jim mentioned that George B. and John lived relatively close in Jackson. One of George B. Daniel's 1838 patents (entered in 1836) in Jackson is precisely surrounded North, South and West by 3 of John's patents (entered 1835), all these were issued on the same day (7 Sep 1838), these are the ones in Section 25 of Range 30W Twp 47N. So Jim's point that George B. might have tagged along with John is a very good one. George could enter the land underage, but it couldn't be issued until he was 21, also helping to explain the 2 year lag in his entry-patent. An aside is that George B.'s other 1838 patent in Section 34 is bounded by James Savage patents. Anyway, Rosalyn and Jim and Georgia may have had other breakthroughs off-board, I hope we'll hear more!
