    3. My notes show that Albert Daniel married Theresa Stewart in Morgan County, Georgia, on Aug 19, 1830. Morgan Co, GA MARRIAGES From 1808 to 1850, page 10. I seem to remember someone - maybe Ken - mentioning that Albert might be a son of Cordia Daniel. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Nanniec1@aol.com> To: <DANIEL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, February 01, 2004 2:16 AM Subject: [DANIEL-L] Albert Daniel- Henry Co., GA > Hi list, > In the Daniel mailing list archives, I found a message from 2002, I know it > been a while, from a Ken Daniell. 2. Hi list, In the Daniel mailing list archives, I found a message from 2002, I know it been a while, from a Ken Daniell. Ken listed some information he had found in the book First families of Henry County, GA. If Ken is still on the list or someone else has this information, would you print the info about the family of Albert Daniel married to Teresa Stewart. Much of my info for this family came from census records and a little guess work but I will print what I think is right and if someone is connected to this family please correct me if I am wrong. Daniel. Albert, b abt 1810, Ga , Father born NC, Mother born GA , married Violet Teresa Geni ( I did not have a last name but got these names off of the 1850-1880 Henry Co., Ga census) Teresa was born abt 1811 in S.C, Father & Mother born S.C. 3. Robert, As best I can tell, the children of James DANIELL of Hancock County, GA always used the double L spelling of their last name. As best I can tell, the children of William DANIEL of Edgefield County, SC and William O'DANIEL, Jr. of Kershaw County, SC always used the single L spelling of their last names, even though they were all O'DANIELS. 3. Robert, Most of the time I just see Sarah's name listed as DANIEL and I think the "double LL" was a throw back to the time she was erroneously listed as a daughter of William DANIELL of Bogart, Oconee County, GA. 3. Ruth and Robert, Did Mumford PERRYMAN have a child named, John, born 1799 or a daughter named, Ann or Nancy, born 1807/1809? I still cannot find a home for John and Ann PERRY. In fact, nobody in Burke or Jefferson County wants to claim them, even though Ann DANIEL was worth close to 20K in 1860 so she had to be from a rather prominent family, unless the sole source of her wealth was from the estate of her late husband, James L. DANIEL (1814-1857) of Bethany, Jefferson County, GA. That, I do not know. What I do know is -- Ann DANIEL (1809-1861) identifies a John PERRY as her brother in her 1861 will and a John PERRY (age 61, born NC) was living with Ann DANIEL (age 51, born Burke County, GA) in 1860 in Louisville, Jefferson County, GA. I also know that Ann and James are buried, side by side, in Bethany (East) Cemetery, Wadley, Jefferson County, GA in the Timothy DONOVAN family lot. Tim DONOVAN, son of a prominent Irish family that migrated to GA in the 1850's, had married James's daughter, Nancy Collins DANIEL. Nancy was the daughter of Mary MURPHEY (1815-BEF 1840) , James's first wife, whom he married in Augusta, Richmond County, GA in 1834. I do not know what happened to her brother, John PERRY. I think a lot of this bunch were buried in family cemeteries on land that became Ft. Stewart, GA and many of these family cemeteries were destroyed before that practice was stopped in the 1980's. At one time there were something like 40 something family cemeteries on the property that became Ft. Stewart but only 20 or so survive and some of these have been badly damaged. John R. 3. Ruth, Most of that bunch from that will can be readily identified as being a part of the O'DANIEL overall family of Edgefield, SC - William DANIEL and Lucretia BELL. I also know the DeJarnette family is also back in Charleston and on a lot of deeds, records, etc. with a lot of those Charleston folks, I watch so closely. Yes, the O'DANIELS and my bunch do have some very interesting common links but I have no indication my DANIEL bunch in Burke County, GA were a part of this Fairfax County, VA family. The only thing I know at the present is -- they both seemed to have some rather strong links to families in Charleston, SC. John R. 3. Hi John: This one hit home. Mumford PERRYMAN - supposed brother to Nancy DeJarnette PERRYMAN who was wife of Moses MEDLOCK of Edgefield, SC. Their children married into my DAVIS line. I don't know anything about Mumford - was he married to one of these Daniel's (O'Daniel)? Ruth in Portland, OR ----- Original Message ----- From: "John R. 1. [DANIEL-L] 1814 Will of Josiah L. DANIEL of Edgefield District, SC
    2. John R. Clarke
    3. I missed this one, had to dig it out. Josiah L. DANIEL (1776-1813) was another brother of David and Sem DANIEL (O'DANIELS). He married Mary DANIEL, d/o William DANIEL and Lucretia BELL of Edgefield County, SC. I do not know if the Mary DANIEL listed in this will was his wife or daughter but Jesse must be a son to go along with the William Francis DANIEL we already know about. <<< Date: 1814/06/07 Description: DANIELL, JOSIAH L.
