Can someone tell me who the Beverly Daniel was who was born 1812, married Eliza Jane Daniel (daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Holloway Daniel) and lived in Granville County, NC? Rosalyn Sumner
Sorry, Doyle, but the Thomas and Francis DANIEL (both males and heads of households) living in Washington County, GA in 1820 have no connection whatsoever to your Ezekiel DANIEL, Sr., 1788-1858 (SC>GA>MS). Your Ezekiel, Sr., and second wife, Nancy GARRETT did have a son named Thomas DANIEL, but he was not born until cir 1828 in Morgan County, GA, so could not possibly be the adult Thomas in Washington County, in 1820. Ezekiel, Sr., and Nancy also had a child named Frances DANIEL, born cir 1830 also in Morgan County, GA, but she was a DAUGHTER, therefore could not possibly be the adult MALE Francis DANIEL in Washington County, GA in 1820. Keep in mind that neither your Ezekiel DANIEL, Sr., nor any of his three wives, nor any of his 15 children lived in Washington County, GA -- NEVER EVER. Robert, OK, but I wasn't aware that Jeremiah m. a GOODE; that would explain why the HOLLOWAY family and Jeremiah HATCHER are seen together. Thanks for that bit of info. One John HOLLOWAY m. GOODE, Mackerness GOODE is seen with Paul HOLLOWAY (some say our Huldah's brother) and Jeremiah HATCHER (Sheriff) (ca 1795, SC). MATTHEWS/MATHIS is another family of Southside VA and part of the GOODE family. I see a Peter MORGAN who petitioned for guardianship for one, Mackerness GOODE, minor. They must have used that name over and over in the GOODE family...and, you may know this, but the name, MACKERNESS, comes from an early woman who m. GOODE. I picked this up in an AL book in my possession; rarely use the Internet...but, guess I should. Do you have a direct GOODE line?
