I research my grandsons' ancestor John Daniel born ca 1785 in Va to Shelby Co Ky by 1810 then to Buchanan Co Missouri by 1840. This John Daniel died 1852 in Buahanan Co. He left a will. Sorry, I am late in replying. I've been out of town with children and grandchildren for a week. No, my William was in Emanuel County, Georgia by 1820 or earlier. According to the DNA test his line goes back to John Daniel of the Isle of Wight County, VA. However, I have several missing generations due to burned family Bibles and county court houses!! Me, again, I really only cherry-picked on these films so far, was really majorly (what a word) looking for the Tranquility folk and to spot something big for the others, didn't really get to the latter. The index for all this is film #32517, the books follow from there pretty much, with a jump out to the #1870867 series for a while, all findable (more great vocab) at the FHC catalogue. And really sadly, I just didn't get to the loose estate papers, such gems awaiting there. Most of the lands mentioned in these are pretty trackable (I'm on fire today) in the deeds (hopefully coming soon to a mail list near you). It is my strong belief we are part of the HOLLOWAY family of Southside VA, but if we have a DANIEL connection to HOLLOWAY, that is not known. We do have two DANIELS lines, or MC DANIEL in one case. Mahulda HOLLOWAY m. John POOL (RS) and I have POOL on a deed with Asa HOLLOWAY'S son in law, Edgefield (SC). Asa was from Brunswick and is possibly Mahulda's brother, or at least related. Audrey, Your pretty much have the same information that I have. I have several borrowed HOLLOWAY books and none of them have much on this branch. In fact one of the book list it as an "outside family" - whatever that means. I'll look again and if I find more than you have I shall let you know ASAP. Suzanne

Anne, I also have the PRICE family tied into my DANIEL line. I have not done very much research with that line yet because I have been chasing DANIEL's all of the US. May I ask what you are looking for - - not that I have it, I am sure, but maybe since I will be working on the PRICE family your information may give me a clue as to something new to look for. Hi, Thanks so much. Someone sent me the marriage record of Elizabeth's. I too have a HOLLOWAY and Grey is named as s/o William HOLLOWAY, s/o George HOLLOWAY (Mecklenburg Co, VA). Grey's family is not in the book, but sure wish it was. He was married to Maryann BAKER.
