Thanks for kind thoughts, folks. The course was the NGS American Genealogy Course and it was an excellent course on all of the major records types and repositories used in the U. S. It was a combination of correspondence lessons with field work (visiting courthouses, archives, etc. to do research) and writing. It took me a little over a year to complete and it taught me a little humility - I thought that I was already fairly knowledgeable about research. What was really cool was that right after I finished that course, I went up to Samford University in Birmingham, AL, for the Institute of Genealogical and Historical Research and took the week long Advanced Research Methodology course with Elizabeth Shown Mills. That, too, was a marvelous course, and I am starting to think that I might get to understand this stuff. This bit of fiction appears on Ancestry World Tree, whatever that is. It appears accurate from Robert C. Daniel on down to Donovan. Anyone who can authenticate this Roger Daniell with an unknown John D. Daniel and Ann, please let me know. It do help to spell Roger's name correctly as well. (LL) that is. If Ann Carey married a Daniell it was not Roger. Make me a believer. Payne Ancestry World Tree Gen1 Roger Daniel = Ann Carey Gen2 Roger Daniel = ?
