The only Daniels I could find are the ones in the Mobley Cemetery List. Did have some interesting info for you. Found an H or R Daniel (Can not make out) owning a farm just south of Standing Rock Creek on the Tennessee river in 1865 on the following site www.rootsweb.com/~tnstewar/1865WStewHou.jpg This map was compiled by the Union army after it had taken Ft. Henry and Ft. Donelson. Also found a R. L. Daniel owning the same farm on a 1943 Tennessee Valley Authority Land Acquistion map 10 N 79. This land is one farm away from the Mobley cemetery. Sorry I could not tell you where Hardison is buried. If I ever find the info will let you know. Roe

Surnames: Daniel Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GNR.2ACIB/42.1036.1 Message Board Post: This is a message to Roe who has been to the cemeterys by Kentucky Lake. I have a family cemetery near there called Daniel Cemetery. I can give a list of the graves. I am trying to locate where Hardison Daniel was buried. I have heard in Stewart County but is there a Leatherwood cemetery? I have always been told our family owned a lot of the land over there and much of it is now part of Kentucky Lake. Hardison had three children Elizabeth, James (mygggrandfather) and Benjamin. They are listed on the census until together until James married Clementine in the mid 1850s'. Something happened by 1880 when they must have done something in that area to put them located in Benton County.

    3. Good Morning, Rootsweb mailing lists get a lot of messages from folks that are not subscribed to those lists. In order to reduce the incidence of SPAM, the messages are not sent to a special mailbox which allows me the option of sending them on to the list or deleting them. I do not have time to read each message, so I just scan the subject line to see what it says. If it contains a subject line pertinent to the list - I send it on to the list. If not, I mark it for deletion. John R. Clarke 803-604-5189 410 Highland Avenue Batesburg, SC 29006-1311

I have had a lot of people tell me that they never read their e-mail. Are you looking for Daniel or Wright ancestors? Or both? At any rate I think I found Eddie Bell on the 1920 census and possibly her maternal gd-parents. Eddie is the same age as my mother. 88. If you have access to the census here's where to go. 1920 Heard County Georgia T625 R262 P203 The family next door down may be her gd-parents. If I remember right the lady was about 60 and her name was Eddie Davis. Coincidense, we have Davis surname in our Daniel line back to the 1840's and 1850's. If I'm right and you need any further assistance just let me know. I'll be glad to help if I can. Mary Pruitt Morris [email protected]

    2. Brantley, There was a James Daniel who died in Oglethorpe in 1821 which pretty much fits the time table and place for your James. His son John, however, was named John Thompson Daniel, so I'm not sure if this is who you are lokking for or not. Mike Daniel
